Dome 4x4 Eco Adventure
15 th to 16 th October 2005
Join us for an adventure of a lifetime.
We are offering a rare 4x4 adventure through the newly proclaimed Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site. We will give you a glimpse into this geological wonder.
Load up your family and camping gear and enjoy two days of off-road adventure with us. You will visit places inaccessible to the public and will have to navigate your way through the route with GPS, Compass and Map or Route directions if you do not own a GPS or Compass.
Prizes given by some of our very generous sponsors will reward your efforts. You will also learn some of the history of this fascinating area, located within an hours drive from Johannesburg.
What will the route consist of?
- Interesting 4x4 driving. (Not “Klou en Grou”!!)
- In Car Navigation. GPS, Map and Directions.
- Adventure activities
- Problem Solving Activities
- Visits to different sites and lodges.
- Fun, Fun, Fun……….and more Fun.
- Overnight Camping on an Island in the Vaal River
- Dinner on 15 October 2005 (Spitbraai)
- Start 07:00 Saturday, 15 th October 2005. Finish 15:00 Sunday 16 th October 2005.
- Entries close Friday 30 th September2005.
- Maximum entries = 100 Vehicles. First come, first served!!!!
- Cost R1000 per vehicle, maximum 5 persons per vehicle
